Llantwit Major Honours Town Twinning Stalwart.
The weather may not have been up to much but the teams were on form. Around 70 people attended our Cheese and wine Quiz night.
We paid tribute to Mr. Les Beckwith, who recently stood down as Chairman of the Association after serving for over 40 years on the committee.
We all thank him immensely for everything he has done, so far!
A motion of thanks and a presentation of Mr. Beckwith’s favourite French wine was made by the current Chairman, Mr. John Lewis.
The bottle was presented in a specially constructed carrying pouch. And then the festivities continued. Although some serious faces are visible in the photographs, the quiz was a friendly affair, and with only minor quibbling with the quiz-masters!
After 10 rounds on various subjects including rounds on music, french architecture, sports and literature a winning team was clear. Congratulations to the team which included our own Dr & Mrs Ellis
