Llantwit Major is twinned with the seaside town of Le Pouliguen located in the Loire-Atlantique department, Pays de la Loire. Le Pouliguen is situated in the heart of the Côte d'Amour on the Guérande peninsula between La Baule-Escoublac and Batz-sur-Mer.
The resort is at the southern end of the 'Côte Sauvage' and at the start of an extensive stretch of long sandy beaches along the Atlantic coast. The coastline is truly stunningly beautiful.
The port of Le Pouliguen is busy with fishing boats and leisure craft, particularly in summer, when the population is boosted significantly by holiday-makers, mainly from other parts of France.
